I had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Rick Hodes speak last week at the School of Public Health, and I would like to share his story quickly. (The event was sponsored by Will Work for Food, Center for Global Health, and UM Hillel.) Dr. Hodes in an American doctor that has dedicated his life to helping others. For the last 25 years, he has lived and worked in Ethiopia, provided medical care to a country with desperately few doctors (about 1 doctor:40,000 persons).
