Ghanaian Ministry of Health Visits the Warehouse

Today, five Ghanaian public health representatives came to The Warehouse to observe our operations. Two of the reps were from the Ministry of Health, and two were from the University of Ghana School of Public Health. They came along with Kofi Gyan, a UM hospital affiliate and native Ghanaian, who is helping us fund and send the container to Tamale, Ghana on April 4th, 2009. The great news: they confirmed that almost all of our supplies and equipment will be extremely beneficial for the teaching hospital that we are sending to! Overall, everyone appeared to be extremely impressed with COA, and had only very nice things to say.

Don’t take my word for it! Listen to what Kofi had to say about the shipment:

Also, thank you to all that came out for Super Saturday Sorting! About 50 volunteers helped sort and catalogue supplies over the course of 5 hours. We’re actually starting to completely finish some of the rooms (Drapes/Gowns is empty!). So, we’re on the right track. With that said, there is still a TON of supplies to inventory before next Saturday. Volunteers, check your e-mail regularly out upcoming sorting events. We need all the help we can get over the next week.
