Obama Supports Interfaith Office
Last week, President Obama announced his support for an “Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.” He says that the office will show no favoritism to any religious group and closely adhere to the strict separation of church and state. This merely illustrates the importance of putting our heads together, regardless of faith, to work towards healing the world!
Here are some highlights from the speech:
I love his open-minded stance on this issue. The office will be headed by a council of 25 leaders from various religious and secular organizations. It will work to support those working on the “social front lines,” while also reaching out to “leaders and scholars around the world to foster a more productive and peaceful dialogue on faith.”

Only once we can see beyond our differences can we be truly “united to heal the world.” That is the goal of our program, and this is the example that we hope to set for the world!
